As Aplusify’s COO, he leads an internal task force that shares lessons learned, best practices, and practical applications that specifically relate to associations and nonprofits.

- Armentrout, CAE
Barbara J. Armentrout, CAE, is a familiar face to many in the association and nonprofit world. She was on staff at the Direct Marketing Association of Washington and National Court Reporters Association, and was membership consultant for the Northern Virginia Technology Council. She was at Marketing General Inc. for a decade, where she specialized in membership marketing and nondues revenue. She also served on the program teams for the former Alexandria Brown Bag (now AIIOT) and the Reston/Loudoun Idea Swaps, as well as ASAE’s Greater Washington initiative. Barbara is now a freelance consultant, and a favored role is representing Aplusify to help associations, nonprofits, and higher ed institutions solve managed services needs involving Salesforce, Fonteva, and Nimble platforms. Barbara is a Washington, DC, native who recently relocated to Florida to continue her consulting practice in year-round sunshine. She lives in Boca Raton with her husband, writer Michael S. Schwartz.

Teri Carden is an association junkie and self-proclaimed girl geek in normal girl’s clothing. After several years of experience in the association technology role, Teri answered a need in the association space by building ReviewMyAMS.com, a trusted site for executives to provide end-user reviews of their association management systems (AMS). Teri still manages ReviewMyAMS all while tackling the day-to-day of developing the 100Reviews platform and managing the digital and marketing team. Teri is an early adopter, disrupter, and explorer. She’s the kind of girl boss who does stuff others are too afraid to try.
